Information Regarding Campus Operations
St. Edward's University will cancel all classes, activities, and work on Tuesday, January 21, 2025, due to weather conditions. Essential personnel are expected to report to campus if safely able. Your safety and well-being are our top priority. Please carefully review the important information below regarding Tuesday’s campus operations, resources, and safety tips.
Class Instruction
- All classes, both in-person and online, are canceled for the day.
Faculty and Staff
- Only essential on-campus employees should report to work, if they can do so safely.
- If you're unsure of your work status, please contact your supervisor.
Building Access
- All campus buildings, except dining halls, will have controlled access. Use your university credentials for entry.
On-Campus Dining
- Hunt Hall Cafe: 10:00 AM - 7:00 PM
- Grab & Goat: 10:00 AM - 7:00 PM
- Meadows Coffeehouse: Closed
- South Congress Market: Closed
- Equity Cafe: Closed
On-Campus Housing
- All student residential communities remain staffed. Live-in personnel will continue rounds to address student concerns.
- Residential students should contact their RA for any specific questions or needs.
- For facility emergencies, such as heat or water leaks, please contact the RA on-call at 512-342-4100 or UPD (University Police Department) at 512-448-8444.
If you're an off-campus student and need temporary room accommodations, contact the RA on-call at 512-342-4100.
Emotional and Emergency Support
- Students: For emotional support, call the Hilltopper Helpline at 833-434-1217, available 24/7.
- Employees: The Employee Assistance Program (EAP) is available at 800-343-3822.
- The Huddle Emergency Food Pantry across from Hunt Dining Hall is open 24/7 and accessible with your university ID card.
Campus Safety Tips
Our Facilities and UPD staff are working hard to maintain a safe campus, but please be mindful that surfaces may be icy. We need your cooperation to stay safe:
- Only go outside if necessary. Allow extra time if walking or driving.
- Proactively charge your mobile devices.
- Follow the "4 P's" for winter safety: People, Pets, Pipes, and Plants.
