Returning Students

Whether you’re planning to finish a degree, take classes to pursue a new interest or are a temporary student, we welcome back to the hilltop!

Find Your Path Back

If you are a former St. Edward’s University student who has not been enrolled in classes at St. Edward’s for a full fall or spring semester, you must reapply for admission. If you are returning after more than 36 months you are bound by the Academic Bulletin in effect when you re-enter.

Here’s how to proceed if you:

All official transcripts of coursework must be sent to the Office of Undergraduate Admission, along with your completed application.

Following active military duty of not more than five cumulative years, you or your military representative should inform of your “Notification of Intent to Return,” and we will provide the application and assistance. Students will be readmitted in accordance with federal law (20 U.S.C. sec.1091c; 34 C.F.R. sec 668.18).

You may take courses at St. Edwards for one semester. College transcripts arent needed, but you must include an official letter of good standing from your university along with your application.

Apply as a postbaccalaureate student if you have a bachelor’s degree, seek further undergraduate study and want the privileges of a degree-seeking student. To apply as a postbaccalaureate or non-degree-seeking student, send official college transcripts from each undergraduate college attended.

You will first need to confirm your eligibility and request reinstatement. Contact the Associate Vice President for Academic Affairs at 512-448-8581 to request reinstatement if you were dismissed for academic reasons.

Contact the Dean of Students at 512-448-8408 to request reinstatement if you were dismissed for disciplinary reasons.
