Dr. Kopecki-Fjetland earned her BS in Biology and BA in Chemistry at Texas Lutheran University. She attended New Mexico State University where she earned her PhD in Biochemistry. She began her academic career at St. Edward's University as a Postdoctoral Teaching Associate in the Chemistry Department. Dr. Kopecki-Fjetland teaches General Chemistry, General Chemistry Laboratory, Biochemistry I and Biochemistry II. She also conducts research with students that focuses on volatile organic compound profiles of various plants and how environmental conditions impact these profiles.
