Commencement Celebrations and Festivities
St. Edward’s is excited to honor the achievements of our Undergraduate and Graduate degree recipients for the 2023 – 2024 academic year with Commencement ceremonies and festivities.
Commencement festivities will include GradFest, Baccalaureate Mass, Commencement ceremonies held in the Recreation and Athletics Center (RAC) and livestreamed from Jones and Carter Auditoriums. The Legacy Walk will follow each ceremony. Additional details are below:
GradFest, Baccalaureate Mass & Commencement Day Updates!
Livestream Viewing: The ceremony will be livestreamed in Jones Auditorium in the Ragsdale Center and Carter Auditorium in the John Brooks Williams Natural Sciences Center South for those without tickets. However, these spaces will be seated on a first come, first serve basis with the Jones Auditorium being accessible first. Graduation Portraits: Flash Photography is the official commencement photographer. Every student will be photographed and proofs will be mailed and emailed within a week of the ceremony. If you have any questions, please contact Flash Photography directly at: https://flashphotography.com/contact

Fall 2023 Commencement Details
What is the date of Commencement?
The Commencement Ceremony will be held on Friday, December 15, 2023 at 2 p.m.

What other activities will take place?
There will be Baccalaureate Mass at 10 a.m. in the Recreation and Athletics Center (RAC). Students should meet in your gown only (no cap) in the RAC no later than 4:45 PM. The Legacy Walk will take place immediately after the Commencement Ceremony.
If I need special accommodations, who can I contact?
If you are in need of special accommodations (i.e. - wheelchair seating), please contact commencement@stedwards.edu; or, you may click on the link provided to reserve your seating no later than 12/14/23.*Please note that only (1) attendant will be allowed to sit with those who need specified accommodations. https://forms.gle/74goCKSQsA795DTw7
When can I receive graduation tickets, and how many will I be alloted? The graduation portal for tickets will be open on Monday, November 20th at 10am. Each graduate will be alloted (7) tickets that can be retrieved using their student id number (excluding the leading zero's) as a passcode via the link provided. Students will be sent an email with the link to secure tickets.
Where should graduates and guests park for both Mass and Graduation? Campus parking on December 15th will be complimentary in the garage and all lots except the orange lots.
Spring 2024 Commencement Details
What are the dates of Baccalaureate Mass & Commencement?
Baccalaureate Mass will be held on Friday, May 10th 2024 at 5pm in the RAC. Students should meet in your gown only (no cap) in the RAC no later than 4:45 PM. *Tickets are NOT required to attend Mass.The Commencement Ceremonies will be held on Saturday, May 11, 2024.

What are the times of each Commencement Ceremony? Ceremony #1 - 10am - Bill Munday School of Business (Graduate & Undergraduate) & the School of Behavioral & Social Sciences Undergraduate Programs. Graduates should check in between 8:30am - 9:30am in the Alumni Gym. RAC doors open for Guests at 9am. The Legacy Walk will take place immediately after the ceremony. Ceremony #2 - 3pm - School of Arts & Humanities, School of Natural Sciences & the School of Behavioral & Social Sciences Graduate & Doctoral Programs. Graduate should check in between 1:30pm - 2:30pm in the Alumni Gym. RAC doors open for Guests at 2pm.
