St. Edward's University welcomes international students into all graduate programs. The university delivers graduate programs in two modalities: flexible in-person and fully online. All international students outside of the United States may choose to enroll in a fully online program. Under US Immigration and Customs Enforcement regulations, student visa holders who are already present or wishing to enter the United States to study in either a fully online or flexible in-person programs may be limited in their program options and course load requirements. Students enrolled in the flexible in-person modality will be required to submit an application when requesting an I-20 (F1) or DS-2019 (J1) to declare their location/current place of residence.

No Visa Requirement:Students enrolling in a fully online program from outside of the United States are eligible to enroll and are not required to obtain a visa as entry to the United States is not required for completion. Students utilizing F1 or J1 Visas:Because U.S federal regulations restrict online enrollment, International students pursuing an F-1 or J-1 visa are not allowed to enroll in an online program of study. Students utilizing F1 or J1 Visas:Must enroll as full-time students (9 or more credit hours). At least 6-credit hours must be taken in courses providing in-person learning.

*International students who enroll in the ABA program may not be eligible for licensure outside of the United States. Additionally, the students must research BCBA qualifying internship locations prior to enrolling in the program.
**As part of the first semester of enrollment, students are required to participate in a two-day in-person residency at St. Edward's Austin, TX campus. This requirement may be waived upon the approval of the program director.
