Office of Service and Community Involvement
S.E.R.V.E. Austin
St. Edward’s, Reflect, Volunteer Engage (S.E.R.V.E.) Austin is a service program at St. Edward’s University that promotes serving the community, understanding local social justice issues and building relationships.
Weekly and/or monthly service projects are the foundation of the S.E.R.V.E. program. It's a great way for you to get involved with local service projects and work side by side with other St. Edward's students. It's the perfect opportunity to make friends while helping others.
Working in collaboration with area non-profits and focusing on a particular social issue, students will reflect, volunteer, and engage in regularly scheduled activities that allow them to more fully explore critical issues within our local community.
This semester's sites include:
- Salvation Army
- Egg Ministry
- Mary House Catholic Worker
- South Congress Senior & Rehab Center
- River City Youth Foundation
- Catholic Charities
- Wild Basin Preserve
In addition to participating in service projects, students meet monthly for the S.E.R.V.E. Second Sunday Social to share experiences and have lunch.
