Hilltopper Chorale sings to raise awareness for breast cancer

The St. Edward's University Hilltopper Chorale will perform Thurs., Oct. 25 and Sat., Oct. 27 at 8 p.m. in Ragsdale Center's Jones Auditorium on campus for Sing for the Cure. The performance is open to the public and admission is free but a good-will offering will be made for the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation.

Sponsored by the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation, Sing for the Cure is a 70-minute song cycle performed by the St. Edward's University Chorale in order to raise awareness for further research into the causes of breast cancer and its cure.

The Turtle Creek Chorale of Dallas commissioned the chorale piece that will be performed at the event.

St. Edward's University is an independent Catholic liberal arts university of 4,100 students in Austin. It was founded by the Congregation of Holy Cross.
