Explore the Principles and Theories Related to Fitness and the Human Body

From biomechanics to exercise physiology, our classes teach students to create fitness programs, to diagnose injuries and design rehabilitation plans, and to apply these skills to semester-long projects.

Kinesiology Programs

The Department of Kinesiology offers five areas of study designed to prepare students for careers as fitness trainers, administrators and managers in the field of athletics, and entry-level positions in various healthcare settings. Three of our tracks prepare students to enter graduate programs designed for licensure for physical therapy, occupational therapy and athletic training. Most students select this degree with the goal of helping people in the area of fitness, sports, medicine and other related fields.
